BTEC delivers new online course to FDA

BTEC extended its long relationship with the US Food and Drug Administration’s Office of Regulatory Affairs (FDA-ORA) by developing and delivering a new course, cGMP Biomanufacturing of Vaccines. Dr. Jennifer Pancorbo was the lead instructor for a nine-hour course delivered to 28 FDA inspectors in live-virtual format over three days earlier in February.

The cGMP Biomanufacturing of Vaccines course also featured a course site hosted on NC State’s Moodle platform that included daily assessments and supplementary background materials.

BTEC began working with FDA-ORA in 2008. In May, BTEC begins year two of a five-year contract to deliver a four-course series focused on Upstream and Downstream Processing, QC/Analytical, and Aseptic Processing. BTEC partners with BioNetwork’s Capstone Center to deliver the series. BioNetwork is the life science training initiative of the North Carolina Community College System.
