BTEC Celebrates 2025–26 Scholarship Recipients
Investing in student success and the future biomanufacturing workforce
The Biomanufacturing Training & Education Center (BTEC) is pleased to announce that 10 NC State students have received awards through the center’s 2025–2026 scholarship program. BTEC gratefully acknowledges its scholarship sponsors — Ajinomoto, EMD Millipore Sigma, the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering – Carolina-South Atlantic Chapter (ISPE-CaSA), Paula Keith, and Veloxis — for their generosity and commitment to biomanufacturing education and workforce development.
The BTEC Scholarship Program is funded by individuals or biomanufacturing and biotechnology companies that agree to a four-year funding commitment. Sponsorships are available at three different levels of support: gold, platinum and diamond. Scholarships range from $2,000–$4,500 per year. Full-time undergraduates who are pursuing BTEC’s minor in biomanufacturing and meet other criteria that may be established by the sponsor are eligible to apply.

Inaugural ISPE Endowment Award
The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering – Carolina-South Atlantic Chapter (ISPE-CaSA) Endowment, held in perpetuity, provides an award annually to a member of the NC State ISPE Student Chapter who has enrolled in at least one of BTEC’s undergraduate- or graduate-level classes and is seeking a career in the pharmaceutical industry. This year’s award recipient is the first since the endowment’s inception in the spring of 2025.

New BTEC Bridge Scholarship for Industry Professionals
BTEC is seeking support to establish a new scholarship for working professionals when they are changing roles, shifting specialties, or between jobs without access to employer-sponsored training. The BTEC Bridge Scholarship will provide financial assistance for professionals seeking to gain access to our center’s biomanufacturing training during these times of transition.
