Paul Mozdziak, Ph.D.
Dr. Paul Mozdziak, from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, is an expert in animal cell culture techniques, transgenic animal production, and muscle biology. Dr. Mozdziak has an interest in developing biomanufacturing technologies to produce cell based food products.
Professor Mozdziak's initial contribution to BTEC is a course module on animal cell culture, which he developed for the NC State University Biotechnology minor beginning in 2000, and the course provides training in a core biomanufacturing technique. Dr. Mozdziak also serves on the BTEC curriculum committee. In collaboration with Dr. James Petitte, he has also developed a BTEC module focusing on large-scale culturing of animal cells in bioreactors.
