BTEC Facility Tours
Located on North Carolina State University’s Centennial Campus in Raleigh, the Golden LEAF Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center (BTEC) provides educational and training opportunities to develop skilled professionals for the biomanufacturing industry and create the best-trained, most industry-focused workforce possible.
Facility tours showcase the center’s more than $18 million of industry-standard equipment and a simulated cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) pilot plant facility capable of producing biopharmaceutical products using cell growth and expression, recovery, and purification processes.

In-Person Tour
Who Can Attend?
Open to the Public: Both community members and industry professionals are invited to attend. Biotechnology-focused high school students are welcome to join with an accompanying parent or guardian. This is a technical tour and is not suited for students under the age of 14.
Prospective students are encouraged to attend an Engineering Information Session. The session covers admissions information and includes a guided centennial campus tour that starts in the BTEC building.
Tours are offered on specific days and limited to 15 attendees. If scheduling does not allow you to attend a facility tour, our lobby (pictured above) is open to the public from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. How to Pay:
- Note your license plate number after parking.
- Proceed to the pay station machine located near the entrance.
- The rate is $3 for the first hour and $1 for additional 30-minute increments. The daily maximum is $15. There is a $0.35 fee for using the mobile app to extend the parking permit.
